Merry Krampus Night!  The night of December 5th is often considered Krampus Night, or the night that Krampus is celebrated.

Krampus gathers some naughty children on the night of December 5th, so that he can have a special feast on December 6th, which is celebrated as the Feast of St Nicholas.

Some think that Krampus is a devilish twin of Santa Claus.  Others believe that Krampus secretly IS Santa Claus – kind of like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.  In some cases, he may seem like two different characters, but in many cases, Krampus and Santa are one and the same.

Many people realize that the name “Santa” rearranged is “Satan”.  Some also realize that Satan and Saturn are symbolically connected.  Some say that Satan is Saturn and Saturn is Satan.  As you may know, Saturn is associated with harsh lessons, as well as time and death.

The old Saturnalia celebration of Saturn occurred around the same time of year as Christmas.  Of course, this is also the time of year that the winter solstice brings us into the zodiac sign of Capricorn, which is ruled by the planet Saturn.

Since Capricorn is represented by the goat, there is an obvious connection between the Capricornian Goat of Saturn and Krampus/Santa.  Since Capricorn begins on the winter solstice, the Capricornian Goat is born at that time in a bundle of straw or hay.  A bundle of straw may even be shaped into a goat, called the Yule Goat, which is often burned as a type of Yule Log.  Krampus is a form of this goat, and the bundle of twigs that he carries is a form of the bundle of straw.

This bundle of straw or sticks is a powerful ancient symbol, and can be seen in symbols like the Egyptian flail, rope tassels, and a witch’s broom.

The straw dog or straw man is another form of the straw goat of Capricorn.  These are often symbols of a lower self or false self that is to be burned or discarded.  Rituals of burning a straw man, wicker man, or a dummy of some kind are all connected to this.  In this sense, these are all a type of devil.

There is a lot more symbolism associated with Krampus, which will be explained in other videos.
