It’s a very common saying and a popular phrase to say “The devil’s in the details.”  You know why?  Because it’s true on multiple levels.

On one level, it seems that it’s merely an expression that indicates there is always some little problem or obstacle that may not be apparent on the surface – as if there is always some kind of snag or catch to everything, no matter how good it seems at first.

On another level, if you look deeply enough with a discerning eye, you will discover that the symbolism of “the devil” is embedded in human cultures, traditions, art, language, and symbolism.  It is  an ancient yet hidden core of religions, mythology, and fairy tales, unknown to most.

Regardless of whether you believe in a literal devil or not, the important point here is that the devil was extremely significant to our ancestors throughout the entire world – and the devil has never ceased to be significant, even to us in modern times.

The symbolism, psychology, and even the energy of the archetype that is referred to as “the Devil” continues to dwell within humanity and our expressions throughout the world.

So yes, it’s true, the devil is always in the details.
